Crowded Jerusalem byway
Friday on Passover morn
People were lining the highway
Shouting their hatred and scorn
Bearing His cross Jesus stumbled
There in the midst of the road
He Who was Christ nearly crumbled
Under the weight of the load
Are you willing to carry His cross?
Are you willing to bear shame and loss?
Will you walk by His side, ever there to abide?
Are you willing to carry His cross?
A stranger named Simon was taken
Who happened to stand there that day
The shoulders of Simon were laden
With the cross for the rest of the way
Glory and greatness were waiting
Priceless the cargo he bore
Wonderful honor in aiding
By bearing the cross of the Lord
Are you willing to carry His cross?
Are you willing to bear shame and loss?
Will you walk by His side, ever there to abide?
Are you willing to carry His cross?
Are you willing to carry His cross?
