Garden Tomb

We went to view the garden tomb
To see where He was laid
Though it was dark, there was a Roman guard
And the stone to roll away

We came up to the cave
We saw the empty grave
And then we heard the angel say

He isn’t here for He is risen
This is the messge that He has given
Go tell My friends don’t be dismayed
I am alive today

The spices bought, the ointments brought
We’d use another day
For He has been anointed in
A very different way

Declared to be God’s Son
Resurrection’s Holy One
For this we heard the angel say
