It is said that the basic questions of life are 1) How’d we get here?
2) Where are we now? And 3) Where are we going? The Bible answers
these questions in its portrayal of Three Trees.
I asked Him why this earth’s in such a mess
Why so much mis’ry and distress
I asked Him how we ever got this way
With wickedness and violence each day
So He took me to a tree
Where the serpent tempted Eve
Sin’s line was crossed, it was Paradise lost, mankind was no more free
All this started at Eden’s tree, all this started at Eden’s tree
I wondered then whatever could be done
To fix what this old world had become
I asked Him if a Savior could be found
To make things right and turn this world around
Then He took me to a tree
There at Calvary
What Adam lost was won back on the cross, Jesus paid sin’s penalty
All this happened at Calvary’s tree, all this happened at Calvary’s tree
I asked Him if in time we’d ever be
Together again as one family
He promised that we’d meet Him in the sky
And someday soon we’d eat from the tree of life
Then He’ll take us to the tree
There we’ll live eternally
It’s a fact He’s coming back, His glory soon we’ll see
Then He’ll take us all to the tree
Then He’ll take us all to the tree
Then He’ll take us all to the tree
