God's Gonna Fix It Someday

The Bible tells us about a man who lived here long ago
He was rich in flocks and herds and land, this godly man was Job
Then the devil came a callin', he was knocking at Job's front door
"Your days of peace and happiness are gone forevermore."

So the devil got right in there and turned things upside down
He made Job's life one long nightmare, with trouble all around
First he lost his cattle, the Sabeans made a violent raid.
Next his sheep and camels, were hit by the Chaldean brigade
Then he struck his children, as they sat to eat a meal
A big wind came and smote the house Job's trials were unreal.

So keep praying Job, keep waiting Job,
God's gonna fix it someday
Keep your courage strong, it won't be long
God's gonna fix it someday

The Bible says that in this life
There's bound to be some toil and strife
Have faith to see through this world's night
‘Cause God's gonna fix it someday

Then God began to bless old Job with sons and daughters and more
He ended up with twice as much as he ever had before
As he ever had before

Keep praying Job, keep waiting Job
God's gonna fix it someday
Keep your courage strong, it won't be long
God's gonna fix it someday
