You gotta keep goin’ where His Spirit leads

The Bible talks about a man named Lot who lived in a wicked town
Angels came to rescue him ‘cause Sodom was comin’ down
But as he left his home that day his wife looked back instead
A pillar of salt she then became, a monument to death

At Canaan’s borders Israel stood, to hear the spies report
Bearing Canaan’s favored goods, with bounties of every sort
But then some said, “We can’t go in, there’re giants in that land.
We can’t fight the Anakim, they’ll smite us where we stand.”

Sometimes I’m filled with fear and dread, the road seems long and slow
The devil tempts me to give in, and live for this world below
But then I think how Jesus came and walked this path before
With steadfast faith He paved the way, so I travel on some more
