My Friend

God came to me and said I’ll be your Friend
I’ll see you through if you’ll just trust Me to the end
Dark may be the road and you won’t see ‘round ev’ry bend
But I’ll be right beside you ev’ry day, all the way

I’ll be there to comfort you when things go wrong
When you are tempted I will make you strong
When there is sadness I will fill your heart with song

If you would like Him to He’ll come and comfort you

He’s been beside me now for quite a while
He’s been the One To bring me though each trial
It’s not been easy but through it I can smile
I know that in His love He’ll care for me, and

He’ll be your Friend if you will ask Him to
He’ll stand beside you in all you do

Believe me He will be your Friend
